Bassett Hound
Once in a while a dog comes along that you fall in love with. This is one of them. A challenge to draw but a joy to do.

Protecting Original Art
People ask me why I spray my pencil drawings with a fixative. The reason is that it protects the art from smearing. Graphite pencil is made of ....graphite. It can rub off and make a mess of the art. I use an acid free fixative to preserve the art. If the spray is not used, in time, the graphite will also get on the inside of the frames glass and mat....a bigger mess. If you buy original pencil art, make sure the artist used acid free.
